DeVry Writing Center: LIVE Events, Webinars & Workshops

Events, webinars, and workshops, oh, my!

We do best in community. Let's get together!

The DeVry Writing CenterFirst Year Student Success program, and the DeVry Library all offer fast, fun, and functional events. See the lists below. You can click the links below or in the calendar to view and register for any event. Don't miss it:  Check your time zone and convert to Central Time here.

Writers' Room Hangouts

Regardless of what you are writing or working on, you may want company to keep you focused and in community. "Body-doubling" sounds like sci-fi, but working in the same space with others can significantly boost productivity, especially for those with ADHD!

Hangouts are a drop-in space where we will follow a simple approach:

  • No appointments or registration needed! Drop in whenever the room is open (see schedule below).
  • No talking in the main room, though communicating in the chat or Q&A is encouraged.
  • Participants can go to a table (breakout room) to talk with each other or with a professor.
  • There will always be a writing expert in the room to provide individual tutoring assistance.
