Academic Integrity Mission Statement

The mission of the office of Academic Integrity at DeVry University is to foster learning and development and academic excellence for all students by promoting a culture of academic integrity through educational programs, accountability for adherence to university academic integrity policies, and assistance for students and faculty in all processes related to academic integrity matters.

Turnitin

Turnitin helps students with grammar and integrity.  It shows a similarity score that is visible to students and faculty. Use this to identify possible missing citations and "quotation marks" on content copied from or too similar to sources. Turnitin also evaluates whether content may have been generated by AI. This report is currently only visible to faculty. Learn more about TII and integrity here.

TII's Ethical AI Use Checklist for Students can help you properly use AI tools and can help you prepare for conversations with professors should you need to defend your work.

Turnitin Student Resources

When you submit your written assignment, Excel spreadsheet, or Power Point into the gradebook, you are provided with a Turnitin report that shows you similarity of resources used in your writing.  Here are some resources to assist you in understanding the report.
